About Us
Spanish Mustangs are true descendants of the first horses in
America. Early Spaniards used these horses as incentives for
Native Americans to become Christianized. This Spanish horse
left a legacy of being tough, beautiful and intelligent. On the brink
of extinction, Robert I. Brislawn of Oshoto, Wyoming founded the
Spanish Mustang Registry Inc. in 1957 to preserve this
magnificent breed.
Joe and I have established one of the few east cost breeding
facilities dedicated to preserving the breed, "Spanish Mustangs".
We found very unique personalities and physical characteristics
these horses that makes them a wonderful animal. Spanish
Mustangs are known for their strength, endurance, ability to bond
with people, and extreme variations of color. Spanish Mustangs
prove to be exceptional horses providing a unique riding
experience. Spanish Mustangs perform all riding disciplines. They
perform exceptionally well in competitive riding, endurance, trail
riding, and just being a life long family friend.
We are breeding three stallions that produce beautiful foals with
the characteristics of the breed. Two of our stallions have
additional gaits that deliver an easy ride. Our stallions are passing
on beautiful confirmation, intelligence, gaiting, and a desire to
bond with their owners. One stallion, Your Choctaw is the son of
the legendary Choctaw Sun Dance who lived at Karma Farms.
Choctaw Sun Dance gained recognition as a wonderful animal
with great intelligence, the ability to perform with a desire to

horse. When we breed to other horses; our "boys" are passing
desirable traits to their babies. The foals display color, wonderful
conformation and intelligence. We have also noted a playful mood
that makes these horses a family member not just a horse. Our
stallions are also registered with Horse of the Americas Registry
,and the American Indian Horse Registry . Hybrid foals are able to
be registered as American Indian Horses. Bloodlines of our
mares and stallions stem from San Domingo, Buckshot, Yellow
Fox and other great original horses.
